Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Consumer Briefing collects when you use this website, and what we do with it.

What we collect

This site does not require an account and does not ask for personal information to read it. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare's processing is described in its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This site sets one first-party cookie, skro-click-id, only when you arrive from one of our adverts (the address then carries an ad click identifier). It holds a random click number, no personal data, lasts 30 days and is used to attribute a purchase made after that visit to this site. The click number is shared with our tracking provider Skro (skrotrack.com), which also receives two anonymous page events (page viewed, order button clicked). No analytics or advertising cookies are set for ordinary reading.

Affiliate links

When you click a link to a retailer or brand, that site may record that you arrived from ours, in order to pay us a commission if you buy. From that point the retailer's own privacy policy applies.

Email

If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of corrections. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to support@consumerbriefing.com.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
