About Consumer Briefing
Consumer Briefing is a small editorial site that compares consumer products people search for most. We started with sleep products because they are bought on a photo and a promise, and returned in disappointment more than almost anything else sold online.
Who writes this
A small team of editors with a background in product journalism and e-commerce. We are not doctors, physiotherapists or sleep scientists, and we do not present ourselves as such. Where a question is medical, we say so and point you to a professional.
How we make money
Some of the links on our comparison pages are affiliate links: if you buy through them, the retailer or brand pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same. This is disclosed at the top of every page where it applies and in full on our advertising disclosure page.
How we choose what to compare
We start from what people search for. For each comparison we pick five products that are widely available in the country the page is written for, and we compare them on published specifications, materials, return terms and customer feedback. Compensation can influence which products we cover; it does not change the scores or the text.
